Terms and Conditions

Work not included in Our Quote

Unless agreed prior to moving we will not:

Dismantle or assemble unit or flat pack furniture.

Dismantle or assemble garden furniture and equipment including, but not limited to sheds, greenhouses, garden shelters, outdoor play equipment, gym equipment, trampolines, hot tubs, satellite dishes, or move paving slabs, planters and the like.
Pack or unpack any boxes.
Move Items from a loft, unless properly lit and floored and safe access is provided.
We are not authorised or qualified to carry out the following work:
Disconnection and reconnection of cookers, washing machines, dish-washer and other electrical items is the client’s responsibility. Fridges and freezers are to be emptied and dried out to avoid defrosting in transit and mould damage whilst in storage. You are responsible for fitting transit bars and standing fridges and freezers for 24 hours before switching on.
Take up or lay floor coverings. Take down or re-hang curtains or other window coverings.
We recommend that a properly qualified person is separately employed by you to carry out any services outlined above.

Ensure that the Goods or items you have packed are packed properly as the items packed by yourself are not covered under our insurance.

Other than by reason of our negligence or breach of contract, we will not be liable for any loss or damage, costs or additional charges that may arise from failure to discharge these responsibilities.
We reserve the right to refuse removal of items from parts of premises which in our opinion constitute a health and safety risk.

If a driver concludes that the work cannot be carried out without damage to property or belongings but you wish for the work to be undertaken you take full responsibility for the damage and therefore waive any right to claim against our insurance.

Excluded property

Jewellery, watches, trinkets, precious stones, money, deeds, securities, stamps, coins, or goods or collections of a similar kind.

Potentially dangerous, damaging or any kind of explosive items.

Goods likely to encourage vermin or other pests or to cause infection.

Paint or dirty garden furniture or garden items.

Refrigerated or frozen food or drink.

Any animals and their cages or tanks including pets, birds or fish.

Furs, perfumery, wines, spirits, tobacco, cigars, cigarettes, food or perishable goods.

Such goods will not be removed by us except without prior written agreement. If you submit such goods without our knowledge and prior written agreement we will not be liable for any loss or damage except when death or injury is caused by our negligence or that of our employees or agents and you will indemnify us against any charges, expenses, damages or penalties claimed against us by third parties

Breakage of owner packed property unless the box or container shows signs of external damage.



We are insured for Hire for Reward, plus an additional £10,000 Goods in Transit insurance and £5,000,000 Public Liability insurance.

In line with the terms of our underwriters, the first £100 (excess charge) of any claim is the customers responsibility and will be required in advance to initiate the claim process with our insurance company.

Any damage must be reported and verified immediately with the movers. You must notify us of any visible loss, damage or failure to produce any goods at the time of delivery, as we accept no responsibility for loss or damage to property after a job is complete, payment is made and we have left the premises.


Any parking or other fees or charges that we incur and pay in order to carry out the services you require. In all these circumstances you will be responsible for the extra charges.

The quote provided is on the assumption that we will be able to park within 10 metres of the entrance. If we are unable to do so, we reserve the right to revise our quotation.


If you postpone or cancel this contract we may charge according to how much notice you provide prior to the agreed removal date.

More than 7 days before the removal was due to start: No charge.

Less than 7 days before the removal was due to start: 50% of the removal charge.

On the day the work starts or at any time after the work commences 100% of our charges.


All quotations are made with best intention and any estimates of how long a job will take and are estimates only. You are liable for the full time that you use the service.
If a fixed price for the job has been given this price may be varied if:

the quantity of goods has increased
the floors between the goods has varied

extra work is involved eg removing doors, feet from sofas etc.

Customers Responsibility

To ensure clear access to both properties where the walk from the rear of our vans is no more than 10 meters to a normal entrance. If the access or layout of the new delivery address does not conform to normal one or two storey layouts you must let us know so that we can quote correctly or you may incur further costs.

To arrange parking permits if required.

To ensure all household effects have been moved from the collection address prior to our departure.
